Obverse: depicts Queen Elizabeth II in the center. This effigy is the sixth-generation design to grace Australian coins and it shows the Queen in right-profile relief at the age of 89. The center is surrounded by engravings “ELIZABETH II”, total coin weight “1 oz”, purity “.9995”, metal “pT” and the denomination “100 Dollars”.
Reverse: the symbol of the 2022 lunar calendar year - the tiger. On the left side, the Chinese symbol is engraved meaning the year of the tiger. Below there is an English translation and the year of the coin “TIGER 2022”. The letter "P" is engraved on the left-hand side of the coin, which is the mark of the Australian National Perth Mint. Created by Monique Reeves, this year's design of the tiger shows the powerful cat as it looms on the edge of a rocky cliff. The frame of the beast is shown in right-profile relief as it looks back over its shoulder and roars, showing off its razor-sharp teeth in the process. This face of the coin has a micro-engraved security feature visible only with the aid of magnification.
