Obverse: the coat of arms of the state - Vytis, below it the arms of the House of Gediminas, below them the year of minting 1925. On the edges of the coin is the inscription Republic of Lithuania.
Reverse: in the centre of the coin the denomination 2 is followed by the denomination 'DU LITU' surrounded by a crown of roses.
Edge: engraved.
About the coin: On 20 June 1924 the Seimas adopted the Coinage Law. The Coin Law of the Republic of Lithuania, signed on 20 June 2005, granted the State Treasury the exclusive right to mint and put into circulation metallic money. The Royal Mint of England minted silver coins. The coins entered circulation in early 1925
