Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts the German national coat of arms, the eagle. The denomination of the coin is "100 euros" below, followed by 12 stars. The name of the issuing country and the year "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND 2010" are engraved on the obverse.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Würzburg Palace and their courtyard garden. The left-hand side of the coin series bears the name "UNESCO WELTERBE" and at the bottom the "WÜRZBURGER RESIDENZ UND HOFGARTEN" (Würzburg Palace and Courtyard Garden).
About the coin: the gold coin belongs to the series dedicated to the most famous UNESCO heritage sites. The Wurchburg Palace played on this coin is considered to be the only and unique castle of the Baroque style: it is a monument to the masters of the Baroque style. Nature, architecture, art and the special plaster with which the building is plastered create a unified ensemble of residence.
