Obverse: the coin depicts the baptism of Jesus Christ in Jordan. The coin depicts how to baptize the water from the sea shell, which symbolizes the Christian new life and the symbol of strength, descends on the head of Christ by washing off the original sin. The name of the state "CITTA' DEL VATICANO" is minted around of the coin. The denomination 10 EURO at the bottom of the coin.
Reverse: the reverse depicts the Pope's Franciscan coat of arms, around the inscription FRANCISCVUS PP. ANNO V MMXVII.
About the coin: the Vatican's 10-euro gold coin is dedicated to the sacrament of the Holy Baptism. Designed by the artist Daniela Fusco.
