About the coin: the Vatican City Mint commemorates the € 20 gold coin for the fourth century of Pope Paul V's death. 1550 born Camillo Borghese belonged to one of the richest and most powerful families in Rome. He was elected pope in 1605 and died in 1621. The pope was actively involved in the development of Jesuit missions in Asia, Africa, and South America. In Italy, he founded schools for the poor, and in Rome, his focus on art and culture is still visible with many monuments.
