Reverse: the main composition displays the domain of Hell from Dante's Divine Comedy. Nine circles within the coin depict the wings of the devil, fire, and ice. The motive of two figures on the left of the composition originates from Luca Signorelli's frescoes in the Cathedral of Orvieto. The inscription "E QUINDI USCIMMO A RIVEDER LE STELLE" (eng. and from there we come again to observe the stars). Which is last verse from Dante's song about Hell. Between the circles, there is a period "1321 - 2021" that marks the 700th anniversary of Dante's death. In the middle, you can see the denomination "20 Euro" and the initial "R" that represents the Mint of Rome. Also, you can spot the name of the coin's designer "MOMONI".
