Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts an arrow of measuring instruments having reached an almost dangerously critical threshold. It is a stylized composition of the encounter with one's own existence, when, before taking the next step, one begins to doubt the meaningfulness of the choice in a state of constant haste. The mark of the Lithuanian Mint is engraved on the bottom of the coin.
Reverse: The year 2020, illuminated by the reverse light of the coin, is the main symbol of the Coin of Hope. The shadow falling from the digits of the year forms the signal of distress "SOS" (eng. Save Our Souls). What symbolizes that humanity must stop, concentrate, focus, and make decisions that shape the future now. The mystical scenographic composition of the reverse conveys the enlightenment experienced, which occurs when it is least expected when hope no longer appears. The name of the state "LIETUVA" is engraved on the left side of the coin, the denomination "5€" is engraved on the right, and the year of mintage "2020" is engraved on the bottom.
Edge: Latin inscription "POST TENEBRAS SPERO LUCEM" (eng. after the darkness I hope for light).
Coin designer: Marija Marcelionyte - Paliuke.
