The subject of the 2019 Portuguese BU Set is 'Ceramics'. This theme originated in the Alto Alentejo region, which has its own characteristic reflective color, as a special type of clay is used in this region. This color was restored and applied to the design of the BU coin pack. The theme seeks to reflect the craft of the region that women made ornate items, all of which have the basic function of storing fresh water and keeping it at home. This year Portugal pays special attention to nature, which is why BU collected it from recycled paper. When you take the kit, you can feel from the texture of the packaging that you are holding an eco-friendly and environmentally friendly product that does not contain plastic. 2019 The Portuguese BU set contains all 8 pieces of the 2019 coins - 1 cent Portuguese to the usual 2 euros. The designs on the Portuguese coins are based on the ancient royal stamps of Dom Afonso Henriques. The 1 cent, 2 cent and 5 cent coins show the royal seal from 1134 onwards. The 10 cent, 20 cent and 50 cent coins show the royal seal from 1143, while the 1 euro and 2 euro coins show the royal seal from 1144. The circles depict five Portuguese coats of arms and seven castles. Among these castles is the name of the country "Portugal" and the year of mintage "2019". The outer ring of the coin features 12 European stars.
