Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts two runners holding the Olympic torch. The word 'LIBERTY' is engraved on the top. On the left-hand side, are the 5 Olympic rings and the name of the city where the Olympic Games were held in 1984, 'LOS ANGELES'. On the right-hand side is the motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST and the year of issue '1984'. At the bottom is the inscription 'OLYMPIAD XXIII'.
Reverse: depicts the Great Seal of the United States with a heraldic eagle. The name of the country of origin is 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' at the top and the denomination 'TEN DOLLARS' at the bottom.
