Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II (Canada is a constitutional monarchy under which Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was also the monarch of Canada). The words 'ELIZABETH II' are engraved at the top of the coin and the denomination '5 DOLLARS' at the bottom.
Reverse: depicts an antelope grazing in a grassy landscape. The outer ring of the coin bears the name of the country 'CANADA' and the year of issue '2013'. The bottom of the coin bears the name of the precious metal in French 'ARGENT PUR' and in English 'FINE SILVER' and the weight '1 OZ'.
