Obverse: the obverse of the medal depicts Queen Nefertiti of Ancient Egypt. The Latin inscription "mater operum atque artificiorum" (mother of handicrafts and products) and the name of the country "AEGYPTUS" (Egypt) are engraved around it.
Reverse: the value of the medal "II S DUCAT" minted in the middle, surrounded by a cross of 6 levers, at the corners of the lily.
About the Medal: Aureus Magnus and Argenteus Medal Series 1955-1981 created by medalist Werner Graul to create an alternative currency for precious metals. Due to the many different embossed motifs on the obverse on the themes of the events of the time, these medals are popular in collections. In addition, due to their precious metal content, medals are also well-suited for inflation-protected investments today.
